ranges, high-altitude valleys, and glacial lakes cover most of the land, leaving few roads and even fewer shortcuts. For centuries, the horse has been the only reliable way to move through this terrain, and it remains so today.
In 2026, year of the Fire Horse, the country also welcomes back home the World Nomad Games, the Central Asia’s version of the Olympic Games with unique equestrian sports, from kok-boru to mounted archery.

HORSERIDING AND EAGLE HUNTING
Over several days, riders cross high mountain passes, follow remote valleys, and ride along alpine lakes where nomadic camps still mark seasonal migration routes.
Days are shaped by terrain and weather, not by schedules.
What to expect:
- Ride across Kyrgyzstan’s high country
- True nomadic immersion ride through summer pastures (jailoo) with herders on the move
- Eagle hunting with real eagle hunters (berkutchi) in the Tien Shan Mountains to learn all about this ancestral practice and experience true nomadic hunting lifestyle
- Arrival aligned with the 6th World Nomad Games
- Small, carefully curated group
